The Surprise Hip Mechanics Desk
Use your Surprise routine to explain your hip
Loop 303 makes the Peoria drive longer from north Surprise. Your sore hip may stiffen during that ride.
Your usual activity gives the provider useful details. A court turn moves your hip differently than walking.
A trail descent makes your hip slow each step. Golf turns it while your foot stays planted.
Name the bend or turn that starts soreness. Don't just say you're active.
Describe the court or trail motion
On a court, note the exact painful move. It may be a lunge, pivot, or side step.
Groin soreness often starts deep inside your hip. Pain along the outside often involves a tendon.
On White Tank trails, compare climbing with descending. Don't add distance while soreness keeps rising.
Check your soreness the next morning. That'll show how the walk affected your hip.
Plan the drive for your sore hip
From Civic Center, Bell Road reaches Loop 101. The clinic's near Thunderbird Road.
From Asante, start south on Loop 303. Then use Bell Road toward Loop 101.
A small towel may support your back in the car. Move slowly if getting out causes pinching.
Tell the provider how long you sat. They'll compare sitting with your other sore motions.
Bring someone if driving feels unsafe. You don't need to drive yourself.
Bring useful details to Peoria
You'll find QC Kinetix at 13128 N. 94th Dr., Suite 205, Peoria, AZ 85381, the nearest clinic. Its regenerative care means medical providers prepare material from your body and deliver it to your hip there without surgery.
Bring any scan report you already have. List the care you've tried and how it went.
Name one daily activity you miss. Your exam can focus on that need.
Call (602) 837-PAIN, or (602) 837-7246. The team can explain the visit.

The 2019 ACR/Arthritis Foundation guideline makes STRONG recommendations for exercise, weight loss in people with overweight or obesity, self-efficacy and self-management programmes, tai chi, cane use and oral NSAIDs across hand, hip and knee OA - but its strong recommendations for topical NSAIDs and for intra-articular glucocorticoid injection are specific to the KNEE, not the hip.

In 45 volunteers with no history of hip pain, symptoms, injury or surgery, blinded 3.0-T MRI found abnormalities in 73% of hips - labral tears in 69%, chondral defects in 24%, subchondral cysts in 16% and osseous bumps in 20%. A labral tear on MRI is therefore not by itself an explanation for hip pain.

Among 179 patients (mean age 82) presenting with hip pain and NORMAL plain radiographs, further imaging revealed an occult hip fracture in 71 and a pelvic or acetabular fracture in 34. The authors advocate a high index of suspicion and early imaging for older patients with non-specific hip pain after a fall - a normal x-ray does not rule out a fracture.
